Five Dental Entrepreneurs Make the 2026 Forbes Global Billionaires List

Within the vertical field of dental healthcare, five leaders from the implant, equipment manufacturing, and Dental Service Organization (DSO) industries made the list. Their wealth performance reflects the robust position of the dental industry in the global economy.

Thomas Straumann, a core shareholder of the Straumann Group, ranked first in the industry with a net worth of $5.3 billion, placing 806th globally. According to a previous report by DGN, the Straumann Group's 2025 financial report showed annual revenue reaching approximately 22.6 billion RMB, with an organic growth rate of 8.9%. Additionally, another shareholder, Simone Maag de Moura Cunha, who holds a 3.5% stake in Straumann, also made the list with a net worth of $1.1 billion.

Heikki Kyostila, President of the Finnish dental equipment company Planmeca, ranked second in the industry with a net worth of $2.3 billion, placing 1834th globally. Planmeca has recently continued to drive innovation in the digital field, launching the new Planmeca Creo® X Dental 3D Printer in December 2025, which reduces pixel resolution to 34 microns, further enhancing digital processing precision at the clinic level.

Rick Workman, founder and chairman of Heartland Dental, one of the largest Dental Service Organizations (DSOs) in the United States, made the list with a net worth of $1.6 billion. Furthermore, Christoph Zeller, heir and former CEO of the Liechtenstein-based dental materials company Ivoclar Vivadent, also made the list with a net worth of $1.3 billion.

According to disclosures on the Forbes official website, the data for this list was compiled based on stock prices and exchange rates as of March 1, 2026. The total assets of the listees reached $20.1 trillion, an increase of $4 trillion compared to last year.
