Focus Acquires Dental IT Services Company, First Strategic Expansion into Dental Market

This acquisition marks Focus's first strategic entry into the dental market and strengthens its position as a managed IT services partner for various medical specialty institutions. According to disclosures, Progressive Solutions has 25 years of experience in dental technology infrastructure services.

Public information shows that Focus was founded in 2010, providing comprehensive solutions including managed IT, cybersecurity, and data management, with a cumulative client base of over 1,400. Progressive Solutions was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Fenton, Missouri, providing long-term technology infrastructure support for dental practices. This acquisition integrates Progressive Solutions' three major dental technology brands into the Focus platform: Dental Backup, which provides automated encrypted backup; Dental Secure Mail, an email encryption service compliant with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements; and MyBridge Communications, a voice communication solution serving over 6,000 users.

Bruce Schaumberg, Founder and CEO of Focus, pointed out that dental practices face cybersecurity threats and technological burdens equivalent to those of other medical institutions, thus requiring partners with deep expertise in this field. Progressive Solutions will help Focus provide dental practices with issue resolution, system stability, and growth support.

Cory Anderson, Founder of Progressive Solutions and Regional Vice President of Focus, emphasized that the company's core principle is to alleviate the technological burden on clinics, allowing them to focus on patient care.

It was disclosed that Progressive Solutions will continue to serve its existing dental clients under its original brand in Missouri and Illinois until 2026; in other markets, it will operate under the Focus brand. Focus believes this acquisition is a crucial part of its strategy to expand a unified healthcare technology platform nationwide.
