("Ultradent") announced the acquisition of Azena Medical, LLC ("Azena"), a company specializing in the R&D and manufacturing of oral medical devices. Ultradent stated that this acquisition deepens the decade-long partnership between the two parties, and Ultradent will fully integrate Azena's expertise in laser engineering, design, manufacturing, and clinical development.

According to Ultradent's disclosure, Azena's leadership and engineering team will remain with Ultradent post-acquisition to ensure continuity for clinicians and partners of the Gemini™ series of dental soft tissue diode lasers. Both parties will continue to invest in laser innovation, training, and clinical education to expand the application of soft tissue laser dentistry globally.

Ultradent CEO Dirk Jeffs stated that the Azena team has been instrumental in advancing Ultradent's progress in laser dentistry over the past decade, and this integration aims to jointly improve global oral health. Azena co-founder and COO Jonathan Luo noted that joining Ultradent provides Azena with scale, infrastructure, and global reach, accelerating the development and global promotion of its laser and photobiomodulation programs.
