DentalGoodNews|Recently, the oral AI patient interaction and payment platform Weave Communications (NYSE: WEAV, hereinafter referred to as "Weave") announced that it has reached a definitive acquisition agreement with investment firm Francisco Partners (hereinafter referred to as "FP"), valuing Weave's overall equity at approximately US$650 million.
Under the terms of the agreement, Weave shareholders will receive cash consideration of US$7.40 per share, representing a premium of approximately 34% over the closing price on August 17, 2026 (the last full trading day before the transaction was announced). Upon completion of the transaction, Weave will be delisted from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), become a private company, and continue to operate its headquarters in Lehi, Utah.
Founded in 2008, Weave provides an integrated customer experience and payment software platform for small and medium-sized healthcare organizations, with solutions covering scenarios such as voice and text communication. The company says that to date, more than 40,000 customer locations have used its services.

Weave CEO Brett White said that the partnership with FP will strengthen the company's ability to invest in its AI platform, deepen payment and revenue cycle management (RCM) capabilities, and advance its vision of improving the healthcare experience. The Weave board of directors has unanimously approved the transaction and recommends that shareholders vote in favor of it.
FP Co-President Ezra Perlman said that Weave's platform has become deeply embedded in the core links of communication and payment collection between tens of thousands of clinics and patients, making it highly difficult to build and hard for other institutions to replicate in the short term. In the future, FP plans to expand the value Weave creates for customers through continuous product innovation.
FP said it has invested at the intersection of technology and healthcare for more than 25 years, with cumulative fundraising exceeding US$75 billion, and has invested in more than 500 technology companies. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to approval by Weave shareholders and regulatory authorities.
