On July 9, the 2026 Meituan Dental Industry Conference and Sinan Dental Ranking Ceremony was held in Shanghai. The conference brought together authoritative experts, outstanding institutional representatives, physician representatives, and ecosystem partners in the dental industry to witness the official release of the 2026 Meituan Sinan Dental Ranking.

From user selection challenges to industry quality upgrades, and then to the implementation of the evaluation system, this conference revolved around a core proposition: In an era with increasing information but more difficult choices, how can truly trustworthy institutions and doctors be seen by more users?

Starting from the user selection challenge, the industry needs a new trust connection.

At the opening of the conference, Li Xiaohui, General Manager of the Meituan Health Business Unit, started from the perspective of users' real decision-making scenarios and shared a new set of challenges facing the dental industry.

She mentioned that on the Meituan platform, a large number of users search, compare, and decide on dental services every day. However, in this process, users are not facing a lack of information, but an overload of information.

"Users want to find a reliable institution and a trustworthy doctor, but when it comes to actually making a choice, they often need to repeatedly confirm," she said.

Li Xiaohui shared three user cases:

A young user browsed reviews of multiple institutions for several consecutive days to book a Dental Cleaning appointment, finally building trust based on a real review mentioning "gentle doctor operation and no hidden costs."

A user choosing a Dental Implant Treatment for a family member, after consulting multiple institutions, still found it difficult to decide due to different prices, various treatment plans, and complex professional information.

A mother searching for children's dental services for her child ultimately built confidence in the treatment experience due to the detailed service design provided by one institution.

Behind these user stories lies a common trend: Dental consumption decisions are shifting from "finding an institution" to "judging whether an institution is trustworthy."

Li Xiaohui stated that the current supply scale of the dental industry continues to grow, and private medical practice has become an important force in meeting user needs. However, at the same time, there are differences in institutional service capabilities, doctors' professional levels, and user experience. Helping users find truly high-quality options from the abundant supply has become a common issue the industry needs to address.

"Users all hope to find professional and trustworthy dental institutions," Li Xiaohui noted. In her view, users' hesitation towards the dental industry often stems from the complexity of industry information, making it difficult to judge institutional strength, doctors' professional competence, and service quality.

Behind this selection challenge lies the fact that there is still room for further improvement in trust-building within the dental industry. How to accurately identify professional capabilities and more efficiently connect high-quality supply with user demand has become an important topic for industry development.

The industry has entered a stage of quality competition; good institutions and good doctors deserve to be seen.

Regarding the changes in industry development, Xu Rongcong, Head of the Medical Services Business Unit at Meituan Health, stated that the dental industry is entering a new development phase.

In the past few years, the industry focused more on scale growth, user acquisition, and store expansion. However, as the industry enters a mature cycle, the core of competition is changing – from "how to acquire users" to "why users are willing to choose and maintain long-term trust in an institution."

From an overall industry perspective, the dental market continues to grow, but the growth model is being restructured.

With the implementation of policies like VBP for Dental Implant Treatment, the previous model driven by single high-value projects is under pressure. At the same time, the importance of capabilities such as comprehensive dental services and long-term patient management is continuously increasing.

This means that future competition in the industry will not only be about scale or price, but about who can consistently provide stable medical quality and user experience. Xu Rongcong indicated that the key to future industry competition is not just acquiring users, but building long-term trust.

Meanwhile, user decision-making methods are also changing. In the past, users relied more on Referral from acquaintances to choose institutions. Today, users actively search, compare, and judge. However, more information does not necessarily mean simpler choices.

For users, the real difficulty is not finding an institution, but judging which one is more professional and reliable among numerous options.

According to platform user surveys, when choosing a dental institution, users focus on institutional professionalism, user reputation, pricing transparency, and institutional scale. When choosing a doctor, they pay more attention to clinical experience, professional qualifications, communication skills, and reputation.

Behind these points of focus are users' core needs for medical professional competence, service stability, and certainty of treatment outcomes.

"Good institutions and good doctors deserve to be seen." This is precisely the industry proposition that the Sinan Dental Ranking aims to address. In Xu Rongcong's view, the Sinan Dental Ranking is not simply about ranking institutions and doctors, but about establishing a trust expression system that connects professional competence, service experience, and user reputation, giving institutions and doctors who genuinely invest in medical quality construction more opportunities to be understood and chosen.

The Dual-track review system is implemented; the Sinan Dental Ranking explores the trust coordinates of the dental industry.

Facing the user selection challenge, what the industry needs is not just more information, but information that has been professionally screened and can help users understand and judge.

Tian Weidong, Chief Expert of Sichuan University West China Hospital of Stomatology and Director of the National & Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Oral Regenerative Medicine, stated that the significance of the Sinan Dental Ranking is not simply to judge who is good or bad, but to help users find a clearer direction for choice through a professional evaluation system in a complex information environment.

"The Sinan doesn't decide where you go; it only tells you where the north is," Tian Weidong said. He explained that the ranking aims to use a professional evaluation system to allow more users to see institutions and doctors who adhere to the essence of medical practice and continuously improve service quality.

Yu Jiangtao, Head of the Dental Industry within the Medical Services Business Unit at Meituan Health, further elaborated on the review logic and system design of the Sinan Dental Ranking.

He stated that the Sinan Dental Ranking outputs not just a list, but a coordinate system to help users build trustworthy choices. Its core adopts a "Professional Assessment × Real Reputation" Dual-track review mechanism: On one hand, through expert reviews by industry professionals, it comprehensively evaluates dimensions such as the doctor's qualifications, professional competence, and treatment outcomes. On the other hand, it incorporates users' real consumption behaviors, service feedback, and long-term reputation to further restore the actual user experience.

To ensure the professionalism and objectivity of the review system, the Sinan Dental Ranking sets 242 core professional assessment indicators and 1136 comprehensive evaluation scoring points. Through processes including material submission, access verification, Dual-track review, score consolidation and review, and fair release, it ensures that the review results are traceable, explainable, and verifiable.

Specifically, the institution ranking conducts a comprehensive evaluation based on five dimensions: medical strength, service experience, reputation, qualifications and scale, and environment and facilities. The physician ranking evaluates based on five dimensions: qualifications, professional competence, treatment outcomes, reputation, and service experience.

At the conference site, experts from multiple authoritative institutions including Sichuan University West China Hospital of Stomatology, Chinese PLA General Hospital, Nanjing Stomatological Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing University Medical School, Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Hospital of Stomatology Affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University, and Hospital of Stomatology Wuhan University jointly took the stage to officially release the 2026 Meituan Sinan Dental Ranking. After evaluation, 576 institutions and 367 physicians were ultimately selected.

The release of the ranking is not the end, but a new starting point for industry quality construction. In the future, Meituan Health will continue to explore paths for upgrading dental service quality with industry partners, focusing on directions such as store selection mindset, supply standardization, fulfillment certainty, and family health scenarios, allowing more high-quality institutions and doctors to be seen by users.

From medical quality to long-term operations, industry partners explore paths for trust building.

The Sinan Dental Ranking focuses not only on user choices but also connects to the quality upgrade on the industry supply side. At the conference, three industry representatives from different operational perspectives shared their practical explorations in quality construction from the three distinct dimensions of medical system building, management system, and patient trust, providing more specific industry annotations for the professional competence, service experience, and user reputation that the Sinan Dental Ranking focuses on.

Zhu Liya, Founding Partner and CEO of Meiwei Dental Medical Group, shared from the perspective of medical system building, responding to "what kind of quality capability deserves to be seen."

In her view, the long-term development of oral healthcare cannot rely solely on the growth of single projects. It requires a return to the essence of medicine and the establishment of a systematic capability covering general practice ability, doctor training, technological upgrades, and service experience.

Throughout Meiwei's development, it has consistently adhered to the principle of "Doctor as the Core, Quality as the Foundation," continuously promoting the construction of a general practice system. Through capabilities like digital diagnosis and treatment, microscopy technology, and comfortable treatment, it makes medical quality standardized and perceptible.

"Good medical care is not just about completing a single treatment, but about making patients feel professional and at ease with every choice they make," Zhu Liya stated.

This echoes the core direction of the Sinan Dental Ranking: through a comprehensive evaluation of medical strength, service experience, and user reputation, it provides a clearer expression of value for institutions and doctors who invest long-term in quality construction.

Ji Xinjiang, Chairman and General Manager of Henglun Dental Group, shared from a long-term operational perspective how to measure medical quality with patient value.

In his view, the true long-term competitiveness of a medical institution is not just short-term performance growth, but whether patients are willing to actively acknowledge and recommend it. Based on this thinking, Henglun Dental regards "Referral" as one of its key operational indicators.

"Referral cannot be obtained through low-price promotions. It reflects patients' comprehensive recognition of medical technology, service experience, and brand trust," Ji Xinjiang stated.

In Henglun Dental's practice, by focusing on the construction of medical standards, management standards, and institutional standards, the organization continuously optimizes its service system, making patient reputation an important reference for measuring medical value. This aligns with the Sinan Dental Ranking's philosophy of using real user feedback to help the industry identify high-quality supply.

Dr. Li Qiang, Chairman and President of Dingzhi Doctors Group, shared from the dual perspective of a doctor and an institution operator how medical professionalism can be translated into patient trust.

He stated that the dental industry has long faced a challenge: institutions and doctors invest significant effort in improving technical capabilities, but due to information asymmetry, patients may not accurately understand this professional value, nor can they easily judge which institutions and doctors are truly worth choosing.

"No matter how good the technology is, if patients don't know how to choose or dare not build trust, the professional value is difficult to truly convey," Li Qiang stated.

Based on this philosophy, Dingzhi continuously builds systematic capabilities around the treatment process, service experience, and patient management, allowing professional competence to reach patients through more transparent and perceptible services.

This also echoes the problem the Sinan Dental Ranking aims to solve: through professional evaluation and real reputation, making it easier for users to identify high-quality medical supply, and giving institutions and doctors who truly adhere to medical quality more opportunities to be seen.

Promoting industry upgrade with quality ratings, jointly building a new ecosystem for dental quality development.

From raising the user selection challenge, to constructing an evaluation system, to industry partners sharing quality practices, this conference outlined a clear development path: users need more trustworthy selection criteria, and the industry also needs a more scientific evaluation system.

The Sinan Dental Ranking was born out of this context. It is not just a list, but an evaluation mechanism connecting users, institutions, doctors, and the industry. By combining professional assessment with real reputation, it provides a more transparent and perceptible way to express institutional strength, doctor professionalism, and service experience.

For users, the Sinan Dental Ranking helps reduce the cost of choice, making institutional capabilities, doctor professionalism, and service reputation clearer and more perceptible. For the industry, it provides a value display platform for institutions and doctors committed to quality development, promoting a more efficient connection between high-quality supply and user demand.

In the future, Meituan Health will continue to leverage its platform's ability to connect users, institutions, and industry partners, working hand-in-hand with more dental institutions, doctors, and experts to explore a more transparent, professional, and high-quality development path.
