DentalGoodNews｜During the 2026 China International Dental Equipment Exhibition (CDS, October 13-16, National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai)), DÜRR DENTAL Medical Devices (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "DÜRR DENTAL") accepted an interview with DGN and disclosed that its new Shanghai factory site was officially completed and put into operation on October 14. Dental chair-matched air supply equipment including dental electric air compressors, negative pressure suction systems, and some infection control products have achieved Localized Production.

DÜRR DENTAL introduced that its new factory divides the production workshop into two floors. The first floor has sufficient ceiling height and load-bearing conditions and is planned as a heavy equipment production area to meet the assembly and transfer needs of large equipment, facilitate the entry of large workpieces and the outbound delivery of finished products, and ensure orderly heavy equipment production operations. The second floor serves as a light equipment production area for the assembly and commissioning of lightweight models. The production lines cover two major categories: dental air supply equipment compressors and negative pressure suction systems, making it DÜRR DENTAL's only production base outside Europe and America.

In terms of positive pressure air supply products, the compression process of DÜRR DENTAL's large positive pressure equipment has been upgraded from two modules to a three-module design consisting of compressor head, control drying, and air storage tank, with a pre-cooling step added before the drying stage. At 7 bar pressure, a pressure dew point of 3°C can be achieved, superior to the dental compressed air quality standard requirements of China's Dental Equipment industry standards. The air storage tank warranty period has also been extended from 10 years to 16.5 years, matching the service life of the entire machine.

Targeting small and medium-sized clinics, the P10 to P32 series air compressors cover application scenarios of 6 to 30 dental chairs, retaining core technologies such as modular dryers, high-efficiency motors, and Teflon-coated cylinders.

Among the negative pressure suction system products, the S7 and S10 units adopt a method of German import with Shanghai assembly, optimizing the cost structure and adapting to domestic demand. They have been on the market for six months. The S15 adopts a split design with the separation tank and suction pump set independently. Dual-power suction pumps can share one separation tank, supporting up to 30 dental chairs.

DÜRR DENTAL's high-suction cannulas cover specifications including general models, pediatric models, and Air Polishing models. Some models support 360-degree rotation, with suction force twice that of traditional cannulas. They can withstand high-temperature disinfection at 134°C and be reused more than 500 times, and have obtained a Medical Device filing number (Guo Xie Bei 20210265). Currently, multiple large Oral hospitals have adopted related products (saliva ejectors remain fully imported).

The infection control product line uses "four primary colors" to correspond to four types of disinfection scenarios: the pink HD410 hand disinfectant has a pH value of 5.4, taking effect in 15 seconds for hygienic hand disinfection and 90 seconds for surgical hand disinfection; the green new FD365 surface disinfection wipes have achieved Localized Production, with a sterilization rate of 99.999%; the blue ID213 instrument disinfectant integrates cleaning, disinfection, and rust prevention, enabling pre-treatment during transport, with the effective period after use extended from 4 hours to 7 days and aseptic storage up to 14 days; the yellow pipeline disinfection newly introduces the neutral product Orotol® plus with pH 7, free of aldehydes, phenols, and chlorine, suitable for overnight placement, reducing nurse operation time by 30 to 60 minutes.

According to the introduction, DÜRR DENTAL's parent group had global revenue of approximately 8.38 billion euros in 2025, with a target of 7 billion euros for 2026 and approximately 1,400 employees. The company established a representative office in China in 2005, founded its first Chinese subsidiary in 2013, established a Shanghai factory and after-sales center in 2021, and has now moved to a new site this year to expand its scale.
