Healthcare services company Simplyhealth has acquired UK dental service provider FMC, expanding its business into the software and services sector.

DentalGoodNews｜September 1, 2026 - Simplyhealth Group, a healthcare and health insurance services company, announced the acquisition of FMC, a UK dental industry service provider (serving dental practitioners and organizations, with business spanning dental software platforms and dental media/education/events, rather than directly providing clinical services). The acquisition aims to enhance Simplyhealth's technical and professional support capabilities for over 4,000 partner practices across the UK by integrating FMC's Dentistry OS software platform and media resources.

Following the merger, FMC's team will join the Simplyhealth Group. The Group will now encompass three major divisions - Simplyhealth, Denplan, and FMC - covering complementary areas including healthcare, dental payment plans, dental technology, professional education, and media.

Simplyhealth stated that as the dental industry faces growing demands in workforce, compliance, and digital transformation, technical and professional support can help practitioners address these challenges. Through this acquisition, Simplyhealth will expand from payment plan services into software and services.

Paul Schreier, CEO of Simplyhealth, noted that oral health is a key component of the Group's mission to improve access to healthcare services, and that acquiring FMC will bring new opportunities for the Group to invest in innovation and strengthen practice support. Craig Welling, CEO of FMC, stated that this is the largest investment in the company's 30-year history, and that the partnership will enable FMC to further invest in product development and talent building, while maintaining the original brand and leadership team's day-to-day operations.
