Good Dental News |In December 2025, the Arrail Group held its new Case Competition, focusing on "Multidisciplinary Team" (MDT) diagnosis and treatment, and open to dentists nationwide via live online streaming. As of December 8, the final rounds for orthodontics and endodontics have been completed, attracting tens of thousands of industry professionals to watch online.
All cases submitted to this competition demonstrated interdisciplinary collaboration, promoting a shift in clinical thinking from specialized subspecialties to patient-centered holistic health management. It is understood that this competition established clear professional entry standards for the submitted cases.
Cases submitted to each specialty committee must transcend the boundaries of a single discipline and demonstrate a systematic, integrated treatment design. For example, in the periodontology specialty, submitted cases must involve combined periodontal and orthodontic treatment, or combined periodontal and prosthodontic treatment, etc.
As explained, multidisciplinary collaborative diagnosis and treatment is essentially a systemic reform shifting from a "medical-centered" to a "patient-centered" approach. It integrates fragmented specialist medical services to provide patients with scientific, efficient, and humane services.
Arrail Group stated that in clinical practice, patients' complex oral problems often involve multiple disciplines, and single-discipline treatment plans are unlikely to achieve ideal results. Multidisciplinary collaborative treatment models can address problems from the patient's perspective, but require doctors to possess a comprehensive knowledge base and strong collaborative skills.
The materials show that the cases emerging from the competition demonstrated the practical effectiveness of this concept. Cases combining orthodontics and prosthodontics resolved the issue of unifying aesthetics and function. Cases combining periodontology and implantology provided new ideas for implant treatment of patients with periodontal disease.
To ensure the professionalism and impartiality of the judging, this year's competition adopted a subject-based competition model for the first time, covering seven professional fields: orthodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, implantology, periodontology, general dentistry, and prosthodontics. Each specialty committee conducted independent online competitions to produce the winning cases for that discipline, which will later be presented and showcased at the Arrail Group's anniversary celebration.
The competition's judges consisted of Professor Zhang Jincai, Executive President of Medical Affairs and Chief Hospital Officer of the Ruier Group, Dr. Liang Qinye, Vice Chairman of the Ruier Group Expert Technical Committee, and other discipline leaders to ensure the competition's professional standards and academic value.

Professor Zhang Jincai stated, "Each submitted case carries a unique journey of diagnosis and treatment, recording precise clinical judgments and technological explorations, embodying the wisdom and hard work of teamwork, and engraving our solemn commitment to patients' health. From attentive listening during the initial consultation, to meticulous consideration in the formulation of treatment plans, to striving for excellence in the treatment process, and even to the warm continuation of postoperative care—it is these daily details of dedication and craftsmanship that have forged the cornerstone of our medical service quality and defined what 'excellence' truly means."
In his message to the competition, Professor Zhang Jincai also stated that this competition looks forward to seeing not only skillful demonstrations of advanced techniques, but also an interpretation of the "patient-centered, medical-based" philosophy. It aims to showcase not only brilliant breakthroughs in individual steps, but also a complete presentation of systematic diagnostic and treatment thinking.
