2026 ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects: Sichuan University’s Dental Medicine Ranks Fourth Globally and First in China

DentalGoodNews｜On September 15, 2026, ShanghaiRanking, a professional higher education evaluation institution, officially released the 2026 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS). In the Dentistry & Oral Sciences subject ranking, Sichuan University ranked fourth globally and first in China with a total score of 285.8.

This ranking covers 57 subjects, with the evaluation period from 2021 to 2025. The top seven Chinese universities in the Dentistry & Oral Sciences subject are, in order: Sichuan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Peking University, Wuhan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Zhejiang University, and the Air Force Medical University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

Previously, Sichuan University ranked 10th globally in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for Dentistry released in March 2026, entering the global top ten for the first time. In the 2024 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, Sichuan University's Dentistry & Oral Sciences subject ranked fourth globally with 270.7 points.
