DentalGoodNews|July 23, 2026 - Orthodontic technology developer Alta Smiles announced the completion of a Series Seed extension financing round, with the amount undisclosed. The round was led by Run Ventures, with participation from Stokes Stevenson McMaster Health Ventures, and existing investor Dental Innovation Alliance (DIA) also made an additional investment. The funds will primarily be used to accelerate the commercialization of its C⁵ hidden orthodontic system, enhance market brand awareness, and support the expansion of its technology platform capabilities.
Founded in 2019, Alta Smiles is headquartered in Fort Washington, PA, USA, and focuses on developing next-generation orthodontic treatment solutions. Its C⁵ hidden orthodontic system utilizes patented nickel-titanium wire technology, placing the aligner device on the back of the teeth to achieve concealed orthodontic treatment.

Compared to traditional brackets or clear aligners, Alta Smiles claims its C⁵ system is "ultra-thin, bracket-free, and comfortable," and states that it does not require patient compliance for self-removal. The company noted that as more Orthodontists and General Dentists (GDs) adopt the system, its market application scope is expanding.
Alongside this financing, Alta Smiles also announced the appointment of two new directors with dental industry backgrounds: Dan McMaster, a former executive at 3M Health Care, and Gene Dorff, a former executive at Dentsply Sirona and current CEO of Solmetex. Alta Smiles stated that their addition will strengthen the company's management and governance team.
According to previous reports by DENTALGOODNEWS (Leading Dental Industry Media, DGN), Dental Innovation Alliance (DIA) made a Strategic Investment in Alta Smiles in July 2024 and has added further investment in this round. As of press time, Alta Smiles has not disclosed the latest valuation following this financing round.
