Dental cybersecurity company Black Talon Security announced a strategic resale agreement with TechCentral, a division of Henry Schein One, LLC (a dental technology company under Henry Schein, Inc.), stating it will add cybersecurity protection capabilities for dental practices using related IT services.

This partnership combines Black Talon Security's industry-specific security technology with Henry Schein One's capabilities in dental IT infrastructure and practice management solutions. Through TechCentral, practices can access the EAGLEi™ Continuous Threat Exposure Management Platform, which natively integrates with mainstream practice management systems such as Dentrix practice management software and Dentrix Ascend.

EAGLEi Platform

According to Black Talon Security, core features of the EAGLEi platform include 24/7 threat monitoring, six daily endpoint scans with automated vulnerability management (capable of remediating up to 70% of identified system vulnerabilities), daily firewall testing, and semi-annual independent penetration testing. Additionally, the platform offers security awareness training designed for dental workflows to meet Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) cybersecurity training requirements, along with network risk scoring.

Black Talon Security stated that over 2,400 dental practices currently rely on its cybersecurity services. Alan Rencher, Chief Technology Officer of Henry Schein One, LLC, noted that this collaboration aims to help dental practices access security capabilities previously available primarily to large enterprises, addressing security challenges posed by attackers using AI to probe network vulnerabilities.
