One of Canada’s largest dental DSOs enters the U.S. market with its first acquisition in Florida.

DentalGoodNews｜July 21, 2026 - Canadian Dental Service Organization (DSO) Dentalcorp announced the completion of its acquisition of U.S. dental group Northstar Dental Partners, officially entering the U.S. market. Northstar is a dental group headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, supporting 21 clinics and serving regions including South Florida, the Treasure Coast, Southwest Florida, and Central Florida.

This acquisition marks Dentalcorp's first partnership in the U.S., expanding its North American supported clinic network to over 650 locations, with nearly 6 million patient visits annually.

According to public information, Northstar was founded by Dr. Jordan Tomalty, formerly known as Tomalty Dental Care, established in Florida in 2005. In 2022, it began its merger and acquisition expansion with 8 clinics, now growing to 21. As disclosed by the company, Tomalty will retain his ownership stake in Northstar and continue to participate in the group's ongoing development.

As previously reported by DENTALGOODNEWS (Leading Dental Industry Media, DGN), Dentalcorp is one of the largest Dental Service Organizations (DSOs) in Canada and the fastest-growing in North America. It was previously acquired by an investment fund under Private Equity (PE) firm GTCR, with an enterprise value of approximately CAD 3.3 billion (approximately RMB 16.556 billion), and subsequently delisted from the Toronto Stock Exchange. According to Dentalcorp's previous financial reports, as of the third quarter of 2025, it operated 590 oral clinics, with Q3 single-quarter revenue of CAD 420 million (approximately RMB 2.132 billion), a year-over-year increase of 11.9%; cumulative revenue for the first three quarters was CAD 1.265 billion (approximately RMB 6.419 billion), a year-over-year increase of 10.2%.

As of press time, Dentalcorp has not disclosed the transaction amount or financial terms of this acquisition.
