The Chinese Stomatological Association announced the new membership criteria at the CDS 2026 venue, and plans to reopen the membership channel in November.

DentalGoodNews｜The Chinese Stomatological Association (CSA) previously suspended the opening of new membership channels from December 9, 2024 until the conclusion of the 7th National Member Congress in 2026, due to adjustments by higher-level governing bodies to the membership eligibility criteria of national societies and the ongoing upgrade of the membership management information system. Recently, at the CDS 2026 site (October 13-16, Shanghai), the Chinese Stomatological Association introduced new individual membership eligibility criteria and stated that the membership information management system is being upgraded and will open in November 2026.

Compared with the "Chinese Stomatological Association Membership Management Measures" (December 2024), the new membership eligibility criteria displayed at the CDS 2026 site show three differences:

Regarding ordinary members, the old measures stated "workers in Oral medicine and related professions," while the new version states "workers engaged in Oral medicine and related professional work who have obtained corresponding professional technical qualifications in accordance with the law," adding a professional technical qualification requirement.

Regarding specialist members, the old measures stated "technical personnel who have undergone specialist training and are engaged in Oral medicine-related professions," while the new version states "those engaged in Oral clinical professional work for no less than 5 years and who have obtained intermediate or above technical titles or master's or above degrees."

Regarding student members, the old measures stated "full-time associate degree and undergraduate students currently enrolled," while the new version states "full-time currently enrolled associate degree students, undergraduate students, and postgraduate students," including postgraduate students in the scope.
