Digital Dentistry platform and healthcare service platform have reached a strategic cooperation, introducing sleep and metabolic health into oral diagnosis and treatment.

Through Dentulu's national digital platform and the Dentulu Pro dental network, the two parties will provide patients with physician-supported metabolic health, sleep health, and preventive care services.

In sleep apnea management, Dentulu stated it has established a hybrid ecosystem: consumers can initiate screening at home and complete home sleep tests, followed by remote evaluation and diagnosis by licensed physicians; if oral appliance therapy is applicable, the platform guides patients to dental facilities within the Dentulu Pro network for treatment. Dr. Arash Hakhamian, founder and CEO of Dentulu, noted that patients may simultaneously face sleep apnea, hypertension, diabetes, metabolic disorders, inflammation, and oral diseases, adding that "treating only part of the problem misses a huge opportunity," and stated the company is building infrastructure that enables dentists, physicians, and patients to participate in more coordinated care pathways.

Regarding metabolic health, Dentulu stated that this partnership will focus on addressing the mutually reinforcing relationship between diabetes and periodontitis. Citing CDC research, the company noted that poor blood glucose control increases the risk of periodontal disease, while severe periodontal inflammation can also exacerbate diabetes management difficulties. Therefore, patients' systemic indicators such as hemoglobin A1C and blood pressure are synchronized to the physician side on the Dentulu platform, potentially providing dental clinicians with additional information for risk assessment in implant surgery or invasive dental procedures.

To ensure compliance and professional boundaries, Dentulu stated that the partnership also clarifies the division of responsibilities: dental clinicians continue to focus on clinical oral procedures, physicians are responsible for medical diagnosis, prescriptions, and treatment decisions, and Dentulu serves solely as a technology and data integration layer, avoiding legal and ethical risks associated with professional overreach.
