DentalGoodNews|On August 14, 2026, South Korean dental implant company MegaGen Implant released its financial report for the first half of 2026. During the reporting period (January 1 to June 30, 2026), the company achieved operating revenue of KRW 172.015 billion (approximately RMB 821 million), a year-on-year increase of 21.3%; operating profit of KRW 28.088 billion (approximately RMB 134 million), a year-on-year increase of 16.0%; net profit for the period was KRW 24.981 billion (approximately RMB 119 million), compared to KRW 1.426 billion (approximately RMB 6.8 million) in the same period last year. As of June 30, 2026, the company's total assets stood at KRW 502.336 billion (approximately RMB 2.396 billion).
DGN previously reported that MegaGen completed the acquisition of U.S. dental laser equipment manufacturer BIOLASE in November 2024. This semi-annual report shows that the target company Biolase MG LLC achieved operating revenue of KRW 31.693 billion (approximately RMB 151 million) in the first half of the year, with a net loss of KRW 4.004 billion (approximately RMB 19.1 million).

In terms of revenue structure, MegaGen's export revenue accounted for 69% of total sales in the second quarter of 2026. By product category, the company's self-produced dental implants and treatment chairs generated revenue of KRW 130.856 billion, accounting for 76.1% of total revenue; agency products including digital intraoral scanning, CT, and other dental equipment generated revenue of KRW 27.001 billion, accounting for 15.7%; A/S services and clinic decoration services generated revenue of KRW 12.620 billion, accounting for 7.3%; IT revenue related to the dental digital diagnostic software R2 GATE was KRW 629 million, accounting for 0.4%; education and other revenue was KRW 910 million, accounting for 0.5%.

In terms of R&D investment, MegaGen's R&D investment in the first half of the year was KRW 6.893 billion (approximately RMB 32.88 million), with the proportion of revenue increasing from 3.88% in the same period last year to 4.01%. The company stated in the report that it has maintained the No. 1 export position to Europe for 13 consecutive years and the No. 1 export position to the United States for 5 consecutive years among South Korean dental implant companies.
